REAP Be Local Awards

The REAP Be Local Awards are currently underway! Learn daily about amazing businesses that are doing great things for our city, in our communities and for the environment. And the best part is you can vote for your favourite businesses in Calgary and discover others that share your values. Contest ends at midnight (MST) on October 31st and winners are announced in November at the REAP Be Local Awards Night as well as in the Calgary Herald.

Not familiar with REAP? REAP is non-profit association for locally owned businesses that care about the community and the environment. REAP businesses are committed to making ethical business decisions like buying green power, paying their employees a living wage, supporting local suppliers and giving back to their community. When you support them you support a more vibrant city. Follow the REAP BE Local Awards on Facebook or visit their website to receive daily blogs. Share your love for local business and be sure to vote!

And guess what? Momentum, Thrive’s parent organization, is a proud member of REAP. Vote now for Momentum as your favorite non-profit in REAP’s Be Local Awards.

Do you know a local business that engages in community economic development? Do they invest in people and places, purchase from fellow local businesses, provide valuable social benefit and support for their community? If so, encourage them to apply for the Community Economy Leader Award. This award is sponsored by Thrive!
